How the calculation works
We apply progressive bracket logic to the taxable income you enter.
Each bracket rate applies only to the slice of income within that bracket.
We sum the tax across all brackets to estimate total federal income tax.

We round to the nearest cent for dollar amounts.
This tool is designed for planning and education, not as a substitute for official IRS worksheets.
